Dieselgrid originally began as Hughes Express, LLC in April of 2009. Founder and Member Mr. Hughes started his transportation career after moving to Georgia at age 19. He worked nights on an LTL cross-dock with a hand truck and float, became dock supervisor of more than 20 people by age 21, then earned his Class A CDL and ran P&D routes around Atlanta at age 22.

While working full-time, Justin attended real estate school and became a licensed agent. In 2007 he invested his life savings into real estate only for the market to crash in 2008. With no job and no options left, a single last shot opened up, an owner operator position as a driver. With fire and faith, he bought a single truck at over 50% interest on high-risk financing during the recession. Aligned with low cost services. Opportunities allowed to add one truck every year for the next four years.

In 2014 the markets began to shift. With guidance from the Georgia Small Business Development Center, Justin rebranded the company, purchased the first two trailers, and Dieselgrid began operating under its own authority. From 2015 - 2019 we grew our trailer pool from 2 to 80+ trailers.

Each year we strive to be better than the last, working relentlessly toward our goals. Continued hunger, integrity, education, commitment, and research have led us to create technology with web and mobile app capabilities. As our team, customers, and owner-operators journey through this technological advancement together, everyone can take comfort knowing this is the key moment that will drive Dieselgrid’s success for decades to come.

Today we remain near debt-free to stay competitive in a turbulent market and preparation of our quickly evolving and transformative industry.
